Let me answer some questions...

How many pictures will we receive?

This depends on your session, but your standard hour long session will typically return 30 - 40 individual images.

How do I get my photos back?

All packages include a digital portfolio with full download access of your high resolution photos. USB drives or a commemorative wood engraved USB drive is available for an additional cost and will be mailed to you after your digital portfolio is delivered. Note: some packages include a USB drive!

When will my portfolio be returned?

This depends on your session type and how busy I am, but I typically quote my clients 2 weeks for a standard one hour session and up to 4 weeks for weddings. If I am going to take any longer, I will ALWAYS be in touch.

Do you charge a retainer?

Yes! This varies per session, but for a standard one hour session I charge a $50 retainer up front. For all wedding packages, I charge a nonrefundable $100 retainer up front.

What are my payment options?

I can accept all major credit and debit cards at the time of booking. If you would prefer to pay another way, please get in touch and we might be able to work something out!

Do you only shoot micro-weddings?

At this time yes, unless you and I have spoken about an exception to the rule. By only doing small scale weddings, I am able to keep my prices low and spend more time getting intimate with my couples on their wedding day. This is the most important part of a wedding for me and I won't compromise that.

Will you travel for our session?

Of course! Just understand that travel is very time consuming. Each session includes a total of 1 hour of travel (to and from your location). If I'll be going any further than that, I will chat with you about options to add travel time to your session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before your scheduled session for a standard one hour session with your retainer returned to you. Wedding cancellations must be made 2 weeks before your session for a full refund. Any cancellations made after the 2 week period will be refunded at 50% your package cost.

Can I have my raws?

Unfortunately no, I do not hand out my raw files. Your photos remain my intellectual property, but I'm happy to give you high resolution JPEGs of your edited portfolio.

Do you offer a payment plan?

All payment is due no less than 24 hours before your session, but any payment or installment plan up to that point is fine with me! Just get in touch so I understand your situation and am not hunting you down for payment, because no one likes doing that...

Can I get a discount?

I do not offer discounted sessions when requested--that wouldn't be fair to my fully paying clients. However, I do offer year-round mini sessions, occasional promotions and a Pay What You Can Senior Portrait program each June-August. If you are under a financial constraint, please get in touch so I can understand more of your needs.

How should we dress for our session?

This is up to you! But I typically suggest you avoid any loud patterns or colors and stick to neutral colors (blues, grays, whites, light greens, light pinks, brown). You want your outfits to compliment each other's but not always match 100% (unless that's your vibe). If you want more information on outfits just let me know and I can help guide your outfit choices!

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

I typically will want the infant within the first 2 weeks after birth for the "traditional" newborn photos. That said, I count a newborn session as any session booked within the infant's first month and can work with nearly any scheduling conflict/concern.

Where should we get our photos taken?

This is 100% up to you! During booking I will ask about your vision for your session and I can suggest locations based on your responses if you don't already have somewhere in mind.

Do you have a studio?

I do not personally own a studio space, no. If you would like to book a studio session, I have contacts with several studios to rent around Northern Colorado and split the cost of renting the studio with you 50/50.
